Originating from a single species that thrived in ancient times, Xenowyrms have become an incredibly diverse breed whose appearances vary depending on their habitats. Each Xenowyrm subspecies is heavily reliant on the power of different types of mana, making them powerful magic users. Chronos are often considered to be the most elusive of all Xenowyrm subspecies: they live in the darkest and densest forests, far from civilization. They are masters of time magic, allowing them to manipulate the flow of time at will. It is said that Chrono lairs are protected by a field of magic that makes the minutes tick by at a slow pace for any unwanted visitors.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Tranquil Fury's home is a hollow located deep within a forest. This forest is highly populated and hectic, but he has made it so that his home is isolated from all that noise and activity. In addition to being somewhat hard to reach anyway, his chosen borders are affected by the time magic his breed is known for. This time barrier can be identified by the plants that are caught in it, which are visibly younger than those not affected by the spell. This deters visitors and makes his hollow one of the only places in the forest that is consistently peaceful.

The only other permanent resident in his territory is his mate, an Aeon Wyvern who lived in the hollow long before he came to find it. They will occasionally have children or allow others to stay temporarily, but for the most part they live alone.
