Few dragons embody serenity and potential quite as perfectly as Avatars of Creation. They dedicate their abilities to the arts of healing and growing, and their shimmering scales seem to glow in accordance with their mood. The tendrils of an Avatar of Creation grow slowly throughout its life, and the longer the tendrils grow, the more potent its abilities become.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

It was a land where fable and truth became one; where wondrous clocks chimed and every new dawn was a new beginning. That place was called Termina, and it was known for its beauty... and for its curses. Some said it was the blasphemy of Ikana, others cried it was the fault of an imp, and still others claimed it was punishment for their lack of faith. Whatever the cause, a series of escalating misfortunes culminated in the land's forthcoming destruction at the hands of a demon. That was their fate.

But it was changed.

A dragon of creation, graceful and strong, emerged from the woods one day and fought to save the land from darkness. Plunging into ancient temples and doing battle with nameless monsters, the dragon's courage--and a magic that was rumored to reset time--brought peace to all and drove evil from the land, after which the hero vanished as swiftly as he'd come. But his legend lives on, in songs much like those he used to work magic, echoing amidst laughter in many a home.
