Aww... It’s a cute baby drake. It has the colors of a bright summer day.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young drakes are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own.

Lil' Lightwing lives for the hours of dusk and dawn, for as much as he enjoys the sun, those are the only times when he sees Lil' Darkwing his favourite playmate. Darkwing has the best ideas and a wonderful imagination and playing without him is always a little bit boring.
