Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Croshaw's appearance is a mystery. One day, during a particularly bad storm, his egg was left in the cave inhabited by the clan. No one even realized the small egg was there until it hatched out and revealed a runty, angry little black. Shortly after his hatching a young white appeared in the cave, Yukani. Since then the two have been inseparable, despite refusal to mate. Croshaw is small for a black, much to his chagrin, but he has powerful magic that rivals even the resident Magi dragons. He is quite angry over his small stature, and often challenges other dragons to fights to prove his strength. He is proud of his solitude and has claimed a cave on the outskirts of the clan;s territory, which Yukani occasionally stays at. He seems fond of Dunnoe, but he refuses to admit it... though he will share his cave with her if she stops being so annoying.
