Lumina Dragons received their names from their highly reflective scales, which—at times—seem to glow. They are vain, always strutting about and preening incessantly; if one of their scales has so much as a scratch or a defect, they’ll remove it. Luckily, their scales grow back quickly, and each new growth is more beautiful than the last. These narcissistic dragons live in small groups and prefer to surround themselves with beauty. The females guard their territory and eggs while the males search for vegetation to eat.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Radiantcrystal is the youngest of her many, many siblings and is one of the relative few who stayed in the same Cave as their parents. Even her owner rejoiced when her egg was laid, since it would further a beautiful lineage. As a result, this Lumina dragoness is quite spoiled. In addition, two of her elder sisters attempted to woo her mate, the handsome Lumina named Shiningshard, before she was born, but their attentions were rejected by him. She doesn't speak with them much, preferring to spend all of her time with her mate and their children.
