And look! It has grown larger fins! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Scrac is a shallow little dragon with no personality who prefers to follow around her superior Golwyn and repeat everything Golwyn says. Scrac disdains the other hatchlings, finding them to be very 'immature' as shallow, immature people are wont to think of others. When she was very young, Scrac wished to stay young forever because she felt that once you are old your responsibilities inhibit your ability to have fun. However, since her idol Golwyn is a full-grown dragon, Scrac now laments her 'poor decision' quite mournfully at any given opportunity.
