Paper Dragons are not truly living creatures. They are pieces of parchment enchanted by magic, and as such, are very vulnerable to fire. However, they behave almost like dragons. The only place where their behavior differs is breeding: paper dragons cannot breed.

Shy and easily flustered, Paperclaws prefers to spend the majority of his time in the library, combing the ancient texts for long-forgotten lore. When he was young, several living dragons caught him while he was delivering a letter. They taunted the poor enchanted creature and shredded his wings to pieces. Because of this incident, he is terrified to be anywhere near any other dragons, even papers; after a few failed attempts to befriend him, most dragons gave up.<br/>Save one, that is.<br/>Fanwing was patient and kind with him, and before long he grew more confident, happy for the first time in his life since childhood. They fell in love, and folded a piece of paper together which they then brought to their owner-a magician-to cast a charm on. This became their daughter, Bookworm.<br/>He will share the considerable knowledge he's gained in the library with humans, but for a price; they must first go and plant several trees, to ensure there will always be enough paper to create books.
