Red Dragons are similar to typical story book dragons. They shoot flames, can fly, etc. However, they aren’t evil creatures as depicted in myths and won’t go around raiding castles, killing knights, or kidnapping princesses. They live in a variety of habitats, from forests to coastlines to abandoned castles, usually in warm climates, and eat whatever living creatures they can find.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

During the night, when most were asleep, two figures, a human and a dragon that went by the name of Kalthyras took care of their final preparations, for a spell was about to be cast. In a clearing where the moonlight shone brightly, a large circle was drawn with white chalk. In the middle lay an egg. There were a few mumbled words from the human, followed by a roar from the dragon. The chalk lit, white flames in a white explosion followed... and the egg had disappeared.

The morning of the next day came. Evangeline woke up and prepared to leave her cave. Tripping over the basket, she had been stunned to see the little precious red egg right by her doorstep. Inside the basket was also a note that said: "From a secret admirer, with love."

Sheyc, the clan leader of Eva's red dragons decided to take the egg to the rest of her clan. After some deliberation the clan decided to accept the egg and incu-hatched it. To this day, he lives happily in Eva's cave as her official gifting dragon.
