Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon... except for the tangle of dangerous-looking vines surrounding it...

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Name says it all. This hatchling was caught by his lucky dragon adopter while he had already hatched. It is very friendly and warm towards humans and turned out to have a wonderful lineage as well, its parents being a tinsel and a cave born dark green dragon. The same pattern repeating itself for generations and generations. But while the small green hatchling was playing in front of his owner's feet she somehow, suddenly, while she almost never, ever freezes hatchlings decided to do so. Completely forgetting about the little ones lineage she casted the spell that would forever keep it young. To never give offsprings. Never, ever. Never in the history of ever. You can rest assured that she was making quite the long face when she found out, to the hatchling's enjoyment as it kept nonchalantly making happy, squeaky noises.
