Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. Unlike the other hatchlings, this one hatched with wings.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

In her egg, Windigo-go was stolen by a fox with a ravenous appetite, who dared to steal from dragons. She has always been lucky, and thus her would-be killer was struck down by a Green Dragon. Her egg was cracked beyond repair, and the only thing the wise dragon could do was hatch her fully, so she would not die immediately. This worked, to an extent. She was small, had bigger eyes than normal, her wings were wrinkled, her skin was pale, and it did not take a medical genius to know she would die. The Green Dragon, named Connection, brought her to a Magic Dragon who sought to protect abandoned hatchlings. Thus, she was frozen to keep her birth defections from growing. She would have to wear goggles to keep her large eyes from blinding, and she would never fly. Windigo-go was named for her quick speed. Though her wings were ineffective in air, she taught herself to slither, and she learned to use her wings as claws, pulling herself forward like a snake.
