Sweetlings are a small, flightless breed of dragon. They are omnivores who favor sweet fruits and honey, and have been known to go to great lengths to obtain their favorite treats. Their long, prehensile tails allow them to grab onto branches and give them superior balance. Sweetlings are expressive dragons and have a large array of calls to communicate with others. They become very vocal during breeding season and sing long, beautiful melodies to attract a mate. Inquisitive in nature, Sweetlings are known to investigate anything that piques their interest, and are quick to flee if the object of their curiosity strikes back.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Kiss is one of the two Sweetlings of SL's cave. Of the two, he is the more intelligent and inquisitive, not gooey and soft like Bubblegum is.

When Lars Lion first entered the cave, Kiss was immediately drawn to her. He developed a childlike crush on her, admiring her beauty and golden scales. But that small little crush eventually grew into an intense liking. Kiss would try to draw Lars's attention over to him, and show off in an effort to seduce her. Lars, however, was unimpressed. He'd watch her, and whenever she were to turn his way he'd look away quickly. Word spread of Kiss's crush, and in return Lars surprisingly returned the feeling, but was too shy to admit it. The two later became mates, and explored the world together, with Lars conquering and Kiss loving.

Kiss wanted children, but Lars didn't. It took years and years of begging for her to give in, but finally she agreed, much to Kiss's delight. She was still uneasy on the aspect of motherhood, but Kiss wanted them so badly.
