Terrae Dragons are primarily herbivores who prefer to eat from the tops of trees. However, due to their massive size, they must rely on small, specialized scales to absorb and convert energy from the sun. Since they live in tightly-knit groups, this form of energy absorption helps preserve the forests in which these dragons reside.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Aloof and Away is always, well, aloof. Despite being a Terrae dragon, Aloof seems to have an arrogant, airy attitude that throws others off and clouds their clear, focused minds. Never responding directly to questions, this peculiar Terrae dragon likes to beat around the bush, while planting doubt and dissonance inside the heads of others. Many have accused his argument strategies of being 'dirty', but they forget that he is a Terrae. Thankfully, however, Aloof and Away doesn't get many conversational partners, since this Terrae's attitude seems to make others 'leaf' him alone. Some say that they would talk to him if he's more well-grounded, as everyone expects a Terrae to be, but Aloof and Away is simply too airy and windy to listen.
