Shimmer-scale Dragons are a very beautiful breed with small—but highly reflective—scales that shimmer and shine as the dragon moves through water. They don’t have fins or webbed feet, but their long, eel-like bodies allow them to swim quite fast. They were once rumored to carry large pearls in their claws—causing many to seek them out in search of this fabulous treasure. In reality, the “pearl” is of greater value to the dragon, for the fabled treasure is actually an egg carried by a migrating female.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Ragna the Silver Bloodedge is a rebellious Silver Shimmer who seemed to mysteriously arrive at the cave of the Dragoon Clan. It's said that his birth was a miracle or even a distortion that wasn't supposed to occur. Whether chance or by fate, he now sits at the bottom of the clan's crystal clear lake of a cave encrusted in stalactites shimmering of azure light. From the depths he watches with his radiant azure eyes. Ragna maintains an aura of strong will and he'll fight any who dare to try and harm the clan. If the waves of despair roll over with thunderous presence, Ragna is there to help ward it off with his glistening silver scales that seem to instill hope to the clan to have enough strength to persevere over the roughest times, and potentially fend off even the most cunning of Desepis or other harmful breeds. With his mighty presence and heroic actions, he has earned the title of Protector of the Dragoon.
