Storm Dragons are the masters of the skies. They are excellent fliers and land only to rest and eat. In addition, they have full control of the weather. They are very hot-tempered and easily angered. They will attack any human that bothers them, conjuring strong winds and dangerous lightning.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Over the centuries, the storms that sweep her world are becoming more and more violent. Many are beginning to fear that the end of their world is coming due to the fierce nature of these massive tempests. To stabilize the weather and prevent disaster, several Storm Dragons formed what is known as the Great Weather Manipulation Project (GWMP). Roxy is a rather unusual Storm Dragon in that she has absolutely no ability to work weather magic. Since the time she was a hatchling, Roxy has tried time and time again to produce even the tiniest thunder-cloud. So far, she has managed nothing. As the child of two GWMP members, Roxy was especially heartbroken over her apparent uselessness to the Project. However, Roxy has learned that GWMP always needs coordinators and managers. Roxy has made herself useful to the Project by fulfilling those roles.
