Terrae Dragons are primarily herbivores who prefer to eat from the tops of trees. However, due to their massive size, they must rely on small, specialized scales to absorb and convert energy from the sun. Since they live in tightly-knit groups, this form of energy absorption helps preserve the forests in which these dragons reside.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Eiesa is what some would think of to be a calm, gentle giant. He is the exact opposite. Eiesa's true personality is very playful, rough, and hyper. No dragons in his clan look in awe of him. His idea of a fun game is running through villages, careless of what he steps on or destroys. When playing with other Terraes, he often convinces the other dragon to practice (this means practicing for finding mates, they push into each other antlers first and the winner pushes the opponent down.) When Eiesa and the other dragon do practice, Eiesa unfairly stabs the dragon with his antlers and pushes them to the ground. When hyper, this dragon talks 78 miles per hour. In hyper mood, Eiesa runs back and forth, constantly running into things from trees to other dragons.
