Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

There was a war that had been going on for over 1000 years between two caves. Both caves had allies and things had been pretty grim. What changed it all was the hatching of a Black female, later named Thila. Being a Black dragon, she was a natural warrior. Many dragons looked up to her with awe. She had been raised in the royal part of the cave by the royal Hellfire family. King Akayan and Queen Khiona helped with that personally, both teaching her different fighting techniques and battle strategies. The young female hatched and grew into the finest female warrior in her cave. She learned of the war and wanted to help. The one day when a sentry spotted an entire army of dragons headed strait towards them, Thila rushed to get her armor and headed out with the rest to battle and defend their home. The battle was long, ending with a fight between Thila and the Ember leader of the other cave in which Thila won. Now, she is famous and relaxes peacefully in her home.
