Aria dragons are a brightly-colored and sprightly breed, perhaps most adored for their lyric calls. Their song-like melodies fill the areas they inhabit; their coos resemble those of birds, only more elegant and refined. They have fairly strong magical capabilities, but tend to reserve these strengths for last-minute defense, choosing to live their lives in simple peace. Arias, sticking to the tropics, typically live quite far from human settlements, giving rise to the previously held belief that they had gone extinct.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Some years ago, an unusually large watermelon was discarded by a rather grumpy dragon, meanwhile making faint, odd chirping noises. The mother dragon had been confused on how a watermelon had ended up amongst her newly-laid eggs, so she sent it rolling down the rocky cliffs of the lush jungle. A few months passed, as well as some surprised looks from other dragons when they saw the wobbling melon.

On an overcast, foggy May evening, the watermelon promptly exploded, revealing that there was a tiny, bright pink dragon hatchling inside, along with a large splatter of pink fruity flesh. But the little dragon took one look at the chaotic outside world and decided that he preferred his small, quiet home inside the watermelon. So he crawled back into the exploded watermelon shell under the protection of a shady plant and remained there until maturity. His friends nicknamed him "MelonKiss" as his fiery breath always had a scent of fruit to it.
