Stone Dragons have a tough outer covering made of a stone-like material. They eat rocks, using the minerals they contain for nourishment and to keep up their stone outer shell. They rarely move, and are the heaviest of all types of dragons. Although they have wings, indicating flight ability, no one has ever seen a stone dragon flying.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Atheera tends to bore people. She, being a stone dragon, just sits there, still as a statue, and looks out over the plains. She and her mate, Athrian, are memorable because they are so boring. Every few hundred years Atheera will move to give one lucky dragon some wise, valuable advice. Other then that, she won't move unless in battle. The other dragons bring food to her and actually stuff it in her mouth. Yeah. Pretty strange. In battle, she will move ever so slowly and actually hurt a dragon by catching it with the bottom of her spiked wings. Sometimes, she will extend a leg and trip them. Or sometimes she'll simply open her jaw and breath out a few flames. When not in battle, Atheera just sits peacefully watching as time passes by.
