Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It is very active and playful.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

GreatNiliaJunior is a cuddly Nilia Pygmy Dragon hatchling. She loves to snuggle up next to her parents or a hatchling friend and sleep. GreatNiliaJunior sleeps very deeply and she is adorable while sleeping. She was named after her father GreatNilia, and wants to be just like him. She very well might be, since she is a little larger than other hatchlings in her flock. She's also interested in hunting, but she lets the little creatures she catches go. She just can't think of hurting one, let alone killing it. She'll eat meat caught by adults in her cave, so she'll probably be more inclined to hunt as she grows up.
