Sunsong Amphipteres are an unusual breed. Due to light interference caused by their magical nature, they don’t seem to be affected by any ambient light source. However, when struck by direct sunlight, they shine a brilliant gold. They are playful and ever in flight; their ethereal and mysterious appearance and the fact that they are usually only seen at a distance have led many to believe they are a symbol of hope and good fortune.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

The far, far, far north isn't the first place one would expect a sunsong amphiptere, those lovers of warmth and jungle, but somehow one ended up there and a baby happened and this is that baby all grown up. Now, she never did like the cold as much as her father. But there was one thing she liked very much--

MONTHS and MONTHS of NEARLY NONSTOP SUNSHINE! Nothing excites this spazz like the long lasting sunlight of the poles, the dragon proving more than once that she can go more than seventy two hours without sleeping a wink, wheeling around in the light over and over and squealing at the top of her lungs. All this energy isn't entirely wasted, however; as brave as her father, she often burns her excitement by helping others, from plucking sailors out of ice trapped ships to showing hunters where to find quarry to feed their families. Yet this joyful personality of hers is just one half of the coin; during the dark months, she's all but comatose with misery!
