Moonstone Dragons are named after the orb on their tails, which resembles the gem of the same name. They are nocturnal and gather energy through the absorption of moonlight with their orbs. They seem to glow with a lunar light and are a very gentle breed, feeding off of plants and the moons’ power.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Moony and Rocky have been best friends since they were hatchlings, and it's often assumed that they are a couple- though they're not. Moony is patient and matronly, contrasting Rocky's fiery temper and rash decision-making. Moony is most often sought out by other clan members when Rocky needs to have some sense talked into him about some subject or another, as it seems she is best at calming the beast in him.

Moony loves interacting with the new hatchlings in the clan, and often goes out of her way to teach them how to fly, hunt, and fight, making sure each and every one thrives. Because of this, she's often thought of a the clan's "honorary mother", despite the fact that she has no offspring of her own.
