Sunrise Dragons are closely related to sunset dragons. However, their behaviors differ greatly. Sunrise Dragons prefer to live in large groups and enjoy basking in the early morning sun. They are usually most active in the morning, and go to sleep in the early evening.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

This kind-hearted dragon is not the smartest creature in the world, bless her heart, and often thinks she's a rooster. This means that at the crack of dawn--even before the other sunrise dragons have stirred--she's up crowing her head off to announce that yay, the sun is coming! ...She sometimes does this several hours before the sun will actually make an appearance. Exasperated companions have tried to point out that since roosters are only male, and she's a female, that she can't possibly be a rooster--but she insists that she must be some brand-new species of girl rooster, and as such must do her civic morning-announcing duty for the world.
