Originating from a single species that thrived in ancient times, Xenowyrms have become an incredibly diverse breed whose appearances vary depending on their habitats. Each Xenowyrm subspecies is heavily reliant on the power of different types of mana, making them powerful magic users. Obidar are a curious and shy variety of Xenowyrm that make their home in forests. Their bark-like scales, the polypores clinging to their bodies, and the vibrant foliage growing from them act as natural camouflage. Their desire to investigate travelers in their domain leads them to often sneak unseen near or slightly into camps at night. If spotted, they are shy but friendly, and many that wander the woods are grateful for the watchful protection of these gentle Wyrms.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

The Braid, a collective of dragons dedicated to making the world a better and safer place, got its name from its three interwoven goals of prevention, preservation, and restoration. The hopeful dragons of the Restoration Strand dedicate themselves to rebuilding whatever was lost or damaged, whether that's something as concrete as a cave or as abstract as trust. Rensarai takes the measure of the land before the plant mages start their work, then uses earth magic to revive the soil where needed. Without his efforts, damaged weyrs would take far longer to recover.
