Holiday dragons are a very mysterious breed. They are only seen during winter, and even then it is hard to catch a glimpse of one. They are responsible for the general cheer that spreads during the holidays. In essence, they are the “Spirits of Winter.”

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

While most of his breed only allow themselves to be seen during winter, Majestic Noel prefers to spend his holiday seasons in the southern hemisphere, during that area's summer. He never visits the same country two years in a row, so it is difficult to guess where he will appear next. The few humans who have glimpsed this beautiful dragon have several theories about why he spends his holidays down south. Perhaps he has an unusual intolerance to cold. Maybe he just wants to spread Christmas cheer to those who may be wishing they could have snow on Christmas for once. It could even be that he did something to get himself banished from the northern hemisphere. Whatever his motives for where he spends his Christmases, Majestic Noel keeps them to himself. He truly lives up to his breed's mysterious nature.
