Arcana Dragons are a rarely-encountered breed of dragon known for both their magical abilities, and their quirky, hardworking nature. These dragons have specialized organs for storing mana, and can produce varying effects from these reserves simply through instinct. However, they are also very intelligent dragons, and when raised around mages, or others of their own kind, almost invariably become obsessed with the study of magic. Arcanae are diligent in their efforts to discover as many uses for magic as possible, and while they will openly treat others to the fruits of their labor—especially others who share their interests—they will also use their knowledge and abilities to trick any creature that thinks it can take advantage of them.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Setsuyu loves tinkering around with various amulets, especially trinkets that have mana crystals incorporated into their design. He's endlessly fascinated by disguise charms that can change how someone looks, finding it enormously entertaining to try mixing spells together to see how the layering of the magic will affect the wearer's appearance. Since his hobby isn't a well-kept family secret, Setsuyu has to make sure to lock up his collection when he's not around. The last time he accidentally left a couple charmed rings unattended, some of his younger siblings had managed to "borrow" enough of them to carry out a heist at the local bakery. The human bakers were extremely puzzled as to why a short bearded lady, a skinny man with butterfly wings, and a chicken with four legs would knock over an entire display rack only to tussle over a single loaf of bread. Setsuyu was quite amused, but nevertheless has looked into figuring out security spells to prevent further "borrowing".
