Skywing Dragons spend most of their lives flying in the air. They hunt from the air, diving at prey from above, and land only to rest. They are some of the fastest fliers, capable of extremely high speeds. The webbing at the end of the tail acts as a rudder, allowing them to easily change direction during flight.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

TorrentalWynd's nickname is Wynd, for his birthname is much too long. He is usually the flying mentor to hatchlings along with Cloud. He is very strict, yet he cares for others, no matter what the cost. Wynd has no mate, but this doesn't bother him much. When at war with other clans, he serves as a signal and a distraction with his swift, curling movements. Wynd's call is the most shrill of any dragon and Mystic Ghost usually slaps him with his tail for it. He is at home in water as in the air. Wynd always had a crush on Wolf's Kage, but he doesn't want to end up like EarthFlame. His bed is a small wind tunnel above the territory, where he can scout for intruders and feel like he is home in an egg again. Wynd's personal favorite hatchling is Swift Gales, but no one notices. He is very often forgotten, even in battle. If it wasn't for his shrill cries, the clan's dragons would mistaken him for an enemy. Wynd is 'leader' of the neutral dragons in the Light and Dark war.
