Much like their draconic brethren, the origin of Moonblight Drakes is largely shrouded in mystery. Despite being sickly and skittish, these drakes exhibit the same peaceful and gentle tendencies as the others who share their curse. They form strong bonds with any creature that accepts their presence, and though extremely loyal to their adoptive pack, they often end up relying heavily upon their companions for protection.

Warped by their curse, transformed Moonblights are mindless beasts, incapable of recognizing even their own packmates. They will attack any living creature on sight, passing on their affliction to any dragon —or drake — unfortunate enough to be wounded by them.

Though it may appear at first that dragons and drakes have much in common, the two are completely separate species. Drakes are smaller and less intelligent than their cousin species, though both dragons and drakes sit comfortably near the top of the food chain. They are always found bearing antlers and leathery wings. Drakes share many of the same habitats that dragons do, and typically hunt in packs.
