Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. Oddly enough, it has two heads that seem to enjoy playing with each other.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

This hatchling was forced out of its egg prematurely.

The twins may look young, but they are ancient in their thoughts. Many hundreds of years ago, after their egg was laid, their mother and father were killed by an evil magician, Galbitorix, who then stole them, along with their brothers and sister. Many of the eggs died, and in his rage, Galbitorix smashed their egg, captured the hatchling that attempted to escape, and smothered them with many spells, one of which stopped aging. Their master used cruel methods to train them, whipping them an inch within death just so he may one day rule the world with a powerful dragon by his side. After a while, he made a grave mistake. He taught them how to use magic. Once their powers were strong, not so much as a Magi Dragon, but still strong, they killed him, and finally ran away to find peace. After years of searching, they found a cave where they met a man who took care of many dragons, and have stayed there since.
