Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Ty is a very angry dragon. His keeper decided she did not want two grown male Red Dragons in her clan, so she kept him a hatchling. He hates the fact that he cannot fly as high or fast as Blessed Blaze, and also that the other dragons make fun of him for it! He does like one thing about being small though; He likes that he can sneak into the food storage and steal food, and cook it himself!
