Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Amancio is a kind dragon that loves collecting treasures, but enjoys gifting them as well. When he sees a dragon or human that he thinks is pure of heart, he will share with them one of his treasures. Sometimes, he will do this anonymously, placing the item in front of the receiver's home or cave while they are asleep, but if he knows the individual, he may give it to them in person. His mate is Justine, a gifted healer, who shares his love of giving and grants herbs to those who need them. He lives with his mate and two "brothers," Kamarra Tailithe and Aaron Tailithe, whiptail dragons that he grew up with.
