Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. Electric yellow scales shimmer brightly across its belly, and an even brighter spark adorns its tail.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Bolt of Youth is a spunky little dragon. He uses his sparks when he wants something to get his point across. he believes he can get whatever he wants this way but his mother, Live Wire, is trying to teach him to use his skills wisely. He might learn someday but for now he is is pompous self.
