Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

DarkDorkfaceEyes is a cute Water Dragon hatchling. She loves her adoptive parents ExuberantKarma, a White Dragon and AlbinoDuskDorkface, an Albino Dragon. Even though she lives in the water and her parents live on the land, they are a very close family. The parents are always together, even sleeping side-by-side. But they visit DarkDorkfaceEyes every day, and she always feels their love is with her.
