Vampire Dragons are members of the undead. They sustain themselves by drinking the blood of others. It is said that they are only “alive” at night, and seem dead or asleep during the day, as they cannot endure sunlight for long periods of time. Vampire Dragons can only reproduce by changing the eggs of other dragons, puncturing the shell with their fangs and injecting venom that kills the baby inside.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

When he was just a hatchling, Subservient's creator told him grandiose stories about vampires, majestic predators that could overpower even the most powerful of normal dragons. But he didn't live up to tall tales, he wasn't like that... he was weak, pathetic. He had tried to steal a mint's egg once, for food. That hadn't gone well at all... He had walked out of its lair with lots of bruises and no egg in sight. Subservient has always thought he wasn't a 'proper' vampire. Docile, shy—a doormat, unable to work up the courage even now to leave his sire's side, even though she gave him the option, even though he dreams about exploring the world outside his little bubble. Perhaps she didn't bite into his egg hard enough, he had speculated many a time before disregarding the notion, for his perfect sire could surely not make such a mistake.
