Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. Ever since it hatched, the sky has been full of very dark clouds.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing. It’s learned to use its new wings quickly and you now have a hard time keeping it on the ground.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

My Mother Doesn't Love Me is a sad and miserable little hatchling. Before she was capable of looking after herself, even before she'd grown her wings, she was abandoned, thrown away like a crumbled bit of paper or a mouldy bit of cheese. Fortunately she was found by the White dragon Leanabha, who froze her in her hatchling phase and is now like a mother to her. Love, as My Mother Doesn't Love Me is called for short, is now a fully accepted member of the Peaceful Pack, a group not bonded by blood, but by their mutual love for peace, friendship and happiness. Love's best friends are Puny Little Parchment and Mouldy Chunk of Cheese, a friendship which is based on their similar unfortunate pasts.
