Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It’s chubby and pink with a faint rose-like smell.

And look! It has grown wings and the flower is blooming! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Small Rose Child is a hatchling that seems to have bad luck, and cause it for others as well. She has a huge fascination with flora, and combined with her poor eyesight, can get her into quite a bit of trouble. She tends to get other hatchlings to join in on her adventures. The caretaker dragon often has to keep a close eye on her to stop any possible injuries the hatchling could get into.
