Holiday dragons are a very mysterious breed. They are only seen during winter, and even then it is hard to catch a glimpse of one. They are responsible for the general cheer that spreads during the holidays. In essence, they are the “Spirits of Winter.”

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Chionomancy and his brother, Cryomancy, are the Breedery's only two wild-born Winter Magis. They were found during the glorious Winter of Wishes, after the Winter Magi species had seemed extinct in the wild for years. Alongside members of the other winter-spirit species that had once been so elusive in the wild, the two Winter Magis grew up safe and warm in the Breedery creche.

Nicknamed Chione, he strongly favors weather and climate magic, naturally, but also spells of healing, growth, and succor. The local Storms and other weather dragons agreeably cede most control to Chione during the winter, so he and his winter-spirit kin can work to ensure that each holiday season is both freezing and festive for everybody. Chione has a nurturing soul, so he often takes in animals or hatchlings. He hoards mirrors, large crystals, especially quartz, and anything either iridescent or opalescent, including a lot of fine art glass. A complex array of security spells prevents both theft and breakage.
