Storm Dragons are the masters of the skies. They are excellent fliers and land only to rest and eat. In addition, they have full control of the weather. They are very hot-tempered and easily angered. They will attack any human that bothers them, conjuring strong winds and dangerous lightning.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Soldaii FirstDrop is the smallest gray of the Cave, making flying between the raindrops easy for her. She spends her time dueling with the storms, always trying to beat them by flying faster than the drops can fall. It was during one of these games that her mate, Sequen NightClash, first saw her. She was racing the thunder and lightning across the sky, teasing the clouds the whole time. They saw each other and they instantly knew that the storms had brought them together. The Cave Elders had recorded that one storm as the most intense and loud ever known. Some who knew the story of Soldaiis and Sequens first flight believed that when they flew together, the storm had been cheering for them. Its said that when the two beat their wings together and flew to the peak of the storm that their flaps were what made the thunder so loud and the lightening so bright. Neither will honestly tell you what really happened in that storm, but when they returned, Soldaii had an egg in her claws.
