Shallow Water Dragons are found in tropical regions where the water is warm. They use their magic to hunt, using bubbles to capture small fish and animals. Their large, webbed feet make them excellent swimmers and they are able to move at very high speeds. Due to their bright color, these dragons are easily spotted in the lagoons where they live.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Eternally Golden Azurica, who likes to go by the acronym of EGA, is the one most talented dragons in Konan's Flock. She loves to perform tricks for the hatchlings when they come visit her lagoon. EGA also likes to take the hatchlings for small swims and allows them to crawl upon her back when they tire. If she sees an interesting fish, crab, or any sea animal, she will call to the hatchlings to teach them about the discovery. EGA is usually called the "Lifeguard" of the flock since she likes to watch over the hatchlings when they swim. Her mate, Regal Atlanticos, a deep sea dragon, surfaces to see EGA on every full moon.
