Flamingo Wyverns are so named for their resemblance to the tropical birds with whom they often share territory. Their most striking feature is the bony black crest over their faces and snouts, smaller in females, aiding both in digging up food and protection from attack. Females are noticeably brighter than males due to their habit of not straying far from particularly algae-rich feeding grounds.
Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.
User Description
Roaring Flamingo is a quiet, peaceful Flamingo Wyvern who is oddly connected to the flamingos she shares her home with. Her breed was indeed named after how they look so much like the pink, shrimp-feasting birds, but Roaring Flamingo seems to have taken a whole new outlook on the similarities. As a hatchling, Roaring Flamingo spent most of her time slipping away from adult dragons to watch the graceful flamingos quietly catching their shrimp meals. The little dragon began to forget that she was a scaled creature and began to think of herself as an actual flamingo, even practicing the sounds they make and standing on one foot, her wings folded in most of the time and avoiding all possible fights. This continued into her adulthood, and it's not uncommon to see Roaring Flamingo within a flock of flamingos, who are used to her lingering among them. Even if her behavior is strange, Roaring Flamingo is still a joy to be around.
