Daydream Dragons are the hosts of daydreams and fantasies. They spend the majority of their time sitting on clouds, dropping daydreams down into the minds of people passing by. Humans who live near Daydream Dragons must be especially careful not to let their thoughts wander, or they could end up spending hours or even days in a trance-like waking dream state.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

He retains a lot of the personality characteristics of his grandfather, Drowsy. Pastel is lazy, quiet, and all around very chill to be around. Like his mother, Scape, Pastel's aura has an effect unique to him and that is to induce a state of pure calmness. Being around him is like taking a pill. Time almost seems to slow down. Anxieties fade into the background. All cares drift away. He sometimes needs to hide away to prevent too many dragons from flocking to him for comfort, though he is usually very open and accepting. Pastel considers himself a savant when it comes to romance, but this is all self-proclaimed. Even so, he will often step in as wingman for his cousins and siblings, finding them the "perfect dates." Most of them tend to ignore these ploys, but Pastel only sees these rejections as a means to try harder. Though he definitely is a cloud potato, Pastel is a committed dragon when it comes to his family. He'll do whatever it takes to ensure everyone is happy and relaxed.
