When Water Dragons mature, they lose the ability to survive on land, entering the water permanently. They are adept swimmers and eat whatever fish are in the lake they live in. They tend to inhabit the same lake for their entire lives, although a few live in the ocean and swim all over the world.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Pogpo lives in a large freshwater lake at the base of a large Alpine mountain, and the water of the lake is very clear and very still, always sparkling like crystals in the cold sunlight. Pogpo herself fits right into her home, her scales sleek and reflective. She sparkles almost as much as the water does. She has a strong motherly instinct, and she yearned for a family for many years, but because she had never taken any interest in the other dragons in her area, she had spent many years biding her time in the water alone.

Then a nomad Magi meandered into her area, and she greeted him and welcomed him to her home, informing him of what various types of fish and land creatures lived in the area should he wish to hunt them. His name was Anino. Pogpo found him to be a handsome Magi, and to her mild surprise, Anino began to woo her with wonderful displays of magic. Pogpo knew he would be a wonderful mate, and she accepted him. The two are very happy, and hope to have a large family.
