Geode Dragons are closely related to Stone dragons. They are covered in a hard stone-like material as well as beautiful crystal. Their wings are entirely useless for flight, but they help attract mates. The dragons with the most brilliant and colorful crystals are more likely to mate.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Koomote lives in a large, wide cavern that is host to mana crystals that sprout naturally from the walls. During his spare time, when not hunting or sleeping, Koomote uses his claws to clean and carve away at the crystals to make different patterns. The facets that he works into the shards catch the light from crevices in the ceiling, leading to the illusion of standing inside a kaleidoscope of jewels. Incidentally, when Koomote first moved into the cave, the stone walls were plain and the crystals hidden behind layers of dust and grime. Koomote believes that this is an example of how it is worthwhile to put time and attention into one's home, wherever or whatever it is.
