Ice Dragons are fierce predators who hunt using their extremely cold breath. The breath of an ice dragon can freeze its prey solid in seconds. The body of an ice dragon is so cold that icicles will form along its skin no matter the outside temperature.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Daaelyri is the second of the territory Meidkuad, under Phaednntyr's leadership. As a sort of deputy, she is particularly in charge of her land's relationships with the rest of the Clan. She rarely sees her leader, or many other dragons for that matter, preferring to stay away from personal encounters and relationships. She only emerges in time of conflict or battle, when her icy weapons and shrewd technique are admired by all. She is wise, meticulous, and in a sense mysterious, as both her parentage and residence are unknown. No dragon dares attempt to communicate with her when she is not in the mood, and she is feared by nearly all. Only a handful of dragons are annoyed at her lack of prominence and feel they all could perform much better than she, and they are duly restrained.
