Sunrise Dragons are closely related to sunset dragons. However, their behaviors differ greatly. Sunrise Dragons prefer to live in large groups and enjoy basking in the early morning sun. They are usually most active in the morning, and go to sleep in the early evening.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

E'er spends most of his time brooding in his own private cave, which is filled with gold treasure and green and blue gems (his favourite colours). He is quite positive that everybody teases him about his feminine colouring, and so is very grumpy to most dragons that dare come around him. He ignores the fact that he's quite a genius, and very witty, instead choosing to only see what he considers the 'bad' part of himself; his colouring. The only dragon he really gets along with is a spring dragon named Emaveya, who loves him quite unconditionally, a love bordering on hero worship. He would probably be even more horrible if he didn't have her around to bolster his ego. She is the one dragon he can believe when she compliments him, simply because she is completely colourblind.
