Sunbeam Drakes are the diurnal counterparts to Moonglow Drakes, their eggs having been laid during the daylight hours. They are around the size of a small dog, and while docile, can be flighty and easily startled. Most can be found high in treetops enjoying the bright sunlight, tucking themselves away at the first sign of a storm or impending nightfall. Sunbeam Drakes enjoy flying in the light of the sun, and their treetop dances are beautiful, dazzling, and serene.

Though it may appear at first that dragons and drakes have much in common, the two are completely separate species. Drakes are smaller and less intelligent than their cousin species, though both dragons and drakes sit comfortably near the top of the food chain. They are always found bearing antlers and leathery wings. Drakes share many of the same habitats that dragons do, and typically hunt in packs.

User Description

Lexington's favorite activity is to show off the magnificent color display of her wings. She especially loves the attention she gets for it from humans. Lexington feels that entertainment is her true calling, and she often accompanies circuses and minstrels as they come through her land. She comes and goes as she pleases, though there were multiple attempts made to capture her and put her up on display. Lexington evaded them every time. Despite that, she can never keep herself away for very long. Even though she will forever remember her attackers, she likes being around humans way too much to stop trusting them.
