Royal Blue dragons are a nocturnal breed who prefer to live high in the mountains near slow-moving water that reflects the night sky. Although quite capable of defending themselves, they are peaceful by nature and will avoid a fight whenever possible.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Shimmer Moonstorm is most likely the most agitating member of the Storm Pack, since he constantly bugs the females, making himself become covered in bruises, all typically caused by the females, especially battle-loving female ThundahCloud Dorkface. Shimmer takes pride in his ripped-up hide, and is seen showing off to the humans and dragons at the Main Cave, who usually laugh at him.
