As the nocturnal relative to Sunbeam Drakes, Moonglow Drakes are a secretive breed most active under the light of the moons and stars. They are wary of others, but are known to have incredible loyalty should their trust be won. Catching sight of Moonglow Drakes as they dance amid the moonlight is seen as a favorable omen by those they live near, and tamed individuals are common. They are slightly smaller than their cousins, averaging around the size of a cat.

Though it may appear at first that dragons and drakes have much in common, the two are completely separate species. Drakes are smaller and less intelligent than their cousin species, though both dragons and drakes sit comfortably near the top of the food chain. They are always found bearing antlers and leathery wings. Drakes share many of the same habitats that dragons do, and typically hunt in packs.

User Description

Behold, seeker of the dragon lore, Qu'Xim of thee Night Glory Drakes. His egg was discovered together with that of his nest-brother Ji'Xing in a bellfry usually swarming with bats. The bats had gone, seemingly scared away by the dragon laying the eggs there. The bats did return after a few days—but the mother didn't. It possibly was the warmth of the bats which enabled the two eggs to hatch and slowly grow. Qu'Xim was the stronger of the two and grew into a healthy adult who began to look for a mate soon. He stayed with the bats and Ji'Xing in the bellfry, though, rather trying to attract a female to him then searching away from his home. As he is hardly ever seen before the sun has set, most people mistake him for a rather huge bat when he flits by with his furry companions.
