Dorsal Dragons are so named because they have large fins along their backs that can be raised and lowered at will. They use these fins to regulate body temperature; they raise them to cool off when they become overheated. The bright colors on the fins double as a means of attracting mates.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

This is a fin dragon, so stay away! He likes to eat people. His whole presence expounds fear. He walks around the cave with such an evil presence that no one dares go near him. Saepi does not have mates, he only has slaves who do his bidding. Saepi is the king of criminals, and even the royal family looks up to him. He has many battle scars from his constant fights, which he always wins. One does not look Saepi straight in the eye, as it is said that eye contact with him will kill you. He does not come from this cave. The lineage shown on the walls is not his, but a different fin dragon called Jermanius. Saepi was born in a land far away. It was a cruel land. Saepi had to learn how to fight. He learned that it did not pay to be forgiving. Saepi came to the cave looking for a brood of dragons to rule over. Saepi killed off Jermanius, taking his name and lineage. Although he not king, Saepi is content ruling the dragons with fear.
