Silver Dragons are arguably one of the most beautiful types of dragons. They live in high altitude habitats such as mountains. Silver females eat meat only when a male dragon brings it to them as part of courtship, though they are typically highly-independent. They possess an almost magical aura that lights up any place they are in, and are looked upon with awe by humans and animals alike.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

A glint of silver tearing through obsidian storm-clouds is usually the most humans will ever see of Silvercraft.  The small Silver female is precious to Ran; given to her by a fellow dragon-keeper, Silvercraft was ferociously guarded by her clan-mates as an egg, and impeccably cared for in her long childhood.  Her mate, Cyrn, is the son of the Alpha female, a fact that Silvercraft is immensely proud of.  She chooses to leave the cave only rarely, to fight for her clan or possibly hunt due to a food shortage, as her true love is in caring not only for the hatchlings, but every single one of her siblings equally; even the most violent of the clan's dragons can't hide from her kindness for long, and tolerate her when they would reject any other dragon.
