Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It likes hiding under dead leaves and attacking your ankles when you pass by.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Alyverra is an extremely shy hatchling. She avoids the other dragons at all cost, fearing that they will hurt her in some way. During the rare occasions she does socialize, she always behaves in a sensitive and quiet manner. The reason for her fear is unknown, though it is rumored that she has been scared immensely by another dragon in the past.
